- Do you take a cut of the tuition?
- No, and there is no technical route by which we could. Parents pay into your Stripe account directly. We invoice you a fixed amount and that is the entire commercial relationship.
- Does the price go up as we grow?
- No. It is $25 a month at forty students and $25 a month at four hundred. Most of this trade charges by headcount, which means the year you finally fill your classes is the year your software bill doubles. We think that is a strange thing to charge for.
- We already have a website.
- Then the question is whether a parent can book a trial class on it at 9pm. If they can, you do not need us. If it is a page with a schedule picture and a contact form, the form is the part that loses you the child.
- Do parents need to make an account?
- No, and this is deliberate. Everyone gets a permanent personal link by email — no password, nothing to reset. The single loudest complaint about parent portals in this trade is that resetting passwords costs the front desk more time than the portal saves.
- Two children in one family?
- One household, one card, one bill, and a sibling discount if you give one. Both children have their own class list and their own attendance; the parent sees both on the same link.
- What about belts and levels?
- You name them and you set what each one takes — classes attended, days since the last one. The software puts up a list of who is ready. It never decides: an instructor who is told he cannot award a belt stops using the software, and then the record is worth nothing.
- Can you move our data from what we use now?
- We are not going to promise that, because we have not built it and moving records is the thing that goes wrong quietly. Practically: a CSV of your students and families we can load; a full history of payments in another system stays where it is.
- What happens if I stop paying?
- The website stops being served and your data exports to CSV. The domain and the Stripe account are yours and are untouched, because they were never ours. You point the domain somewhere else and nothing of yours moves.
- How long until it is live?
- The demo already exists before we contact you. From your first reply, live usually takes a few days — most of which is waiting on the domain and on Stripe verifying you, neither of which we can do for you.
